Most of the info here is generic in nature and can also be applied to any other cell phone. So for instance, if someone else in your home has an LG or Nokia or Motorola this would work for them as well. It's a brief history of the battery types used in modern day cell phones.

OLithium Ion (Li-Ion) - This was the latest battery technology before lithium polymer. They have a higher power density than NiMh and NiCd batteries. Li-Ion batteries generally come standard with most phones. For most people, this battery technology represents the best combination of size, capacity, and value. These types of batteries don't suffer from the poor memory effect and can be recharged anytime.

Why is this important? If you have a relatively new PC the only problem you will get are error messages relating to the clock on start up. No big deal. If your PC is older then a low battery could be a nightmare. I had a PC which once lithium stocks copyright every few months refused to boot. Rather than take the PC in for repair or start replacing parts myself the first thing I did was look at the BIOS settings. It was soon obvious that the BIOS settings were corrupt (wrong bus speed). I put a volt meter on the battery and sure enough it was reading 2.2 volts.

Much of the response to the threat of Giardia is overkill. A favorite scholarly article on Giardia was written by Robert L. Rockwell, PhD. It's titled, Giardia Lamblia and Giardiasis, With Particular Attention to the Sierra Nevada. Bob Rockwell is an active mountaineer who made his first trip into the Sierra Nevada in 1952 to climb Mt. Whitney, and he repeats this climb several times annually. He has a bachelor's degree in Physics from UC-Berkeley, and a PhD in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering (Biomechanics) from Stanford.

All the phones now come with Lithium battery stocks ion batteries and charging should not be an issue ...although it's best not to charge them over 24 hours..Overnight every night is fine...they all do have a life though leaving it off when you don't need it can extend that. Although you would miss calls.

What are you going to be using the drill for? Let's say that you are planning on building some light furniture and maybe will use the drill on weekends mostly. You probably don't need a super powerful drill with the most expensive battery technology. You could probably get by with a 12 volt drill, no need for hammering action, and you could probably do fine with a NiCad battery as opposed to Lithium Ion. Sure, a Lithium mines Ontario Ion battery would be really nice, and would charge faster, but if you aren't planning on using the drill for continuous hours at a time you could save a few bucks in this department.

There are also cheap cellphone batteries that don't deliver the goods. They may be cheap for reasons that are clear and this is because they are not of good quality.
